Every webcomic worth it's weight in fan art, love and popularity has an FAQ section....this includes BM - even if it's fanbase isn't the largest around! If you have any questions WHAT so ever, just look in here, all should be answered!

And if you're question isn't listed here? no problem! just go up and hit "Contact". you'll be taken to a page where you can send in a comment, whether it be suggestions, fan comments, or asking me a question you can't find here!

Don't want to scroll all the way down? (because maybe you're lazy like me?) I HAVE AN EPIC SOLUTION FOR YOU!!!! *points to the sidebar on the right* just use that, you'll notice it lists the names of each question, click a question that applies to you, and you'll be taken to that answer! There is also an orange text button labelled "Top", and if you click it, you will be taken all the way back up to the top of the page!!!! See? i DO care about the lazy people!

Who are you?

Oh that's easy! I'm a female artist, who wants to publish Blaq Majiik-among other comics. My name isn't something i give out to just anyone, but most people on the internet call me Kai!

I've been drawing since i was about 3 years old, and most of my artistic awesomeness comes from my dad. Some of it comes from when i was little and yearned to be a better drawer then my older sister! i find myself looking back through her old drawing books for inspiration, techniques, and other ways to improve on my style!

What is Blaq Majiik?

Blaq Majiik is my main and most epic/thought out webcomic!

I started thinking about it, and planning everything out-characters, locations, time periods, etc-in grade 8(2007-2008). I started drawing the original pages in grade 9, but decided to redo them sometime after New Years(2010). I started hosting them on a random comic hoster, as i was still new to coding entire websites(and couldn't find one with everything i wanted)

The genre is Fantasy, mixed in with mild/twisted horror, and a bit of.....sci-fi i guess? BM centers around a reformed version of canada-futuristic alternate dimension-where it's capital, a mega city called "New Mora" takes up the entire province of Ontario, and bleeds into Manitoba and Quebec(easily connecting and blending with Montréal's inner bustling city). The buildings in this city have been built so high that they almost completely block out the sun. The result is a blue tinge cast throughout New Mora-everywhere-as well as grimey, unkempt streets filled with murderers, drug addicts and more inhabiting the alleyways.

Amidst ALL that, our main character, Petro Moyaz, is dealing with a monster inside of him-just itching to get loose and kill inocent beings-as well as trying to gain control of his magic abilities-not to mention homework, and a wacky Guardian, who never learned the difference between a washing machine and the dishwasher. It's a lot for a 15 year old to handle.

On top of everything that's happened in his life so far, it's not nearly as bad as when weird goat like creatures infest his high school, and attack random people. Petro ends up being forced into a janitors closet, and becomes the cause of a young mans death.

He is soon found by a group of young magic users, wanting to recrit a new member. Apparantly they think Petro can help them.

What are the Age Restrictions for reading BM?

Blaq Majiik is currently rated PG 14+, but that's not a solid rating. It can change at any time, and most likely will as i haven't gotten everything straightened out in terms of what i'm showing and what's more hinted at.

Does BM have an rss Feed?

Yes, BM now has an official RSS feed, that is located right Here.

How many characters are in BM?

uuuhhh....thats hard to answer. this can be narrowed down to around 8 main characters, with a ton of re-uccuring characters coming in and out and possibly confusing you to believe that they are main characters. When BM REALLY gets underway, a cast or "Character" page will be done up. this will list Main characters, re-uccuring characters, and a bunch of random and background chars.

This is the list of the 8 main characters-in order of appearance:

  • Petro Moyaz
  • Mr. David Richars
  • Darin Comings
  • Drew Masters
  • Matt Gardiner
  • Simone Hussain
  • Terri Pothier
  • Cassidy Simmons

Who are, and do we ever get to see, Petro's parents?

Well if i told you it wouldnt be much of a secret woudl it? You will get to see Gabe and Eve in old photos, but im not saying any more about it.

Is there Magic in this comic series? And if so, what can I expect?

...the title has the word "Magic" in it, so it's a safe bet that, yes, there is magic in BM.

There's a few different types of magic in BM:

  • Shamatic Magic - Which is all about saying intricate words in other languages, most of the time it involves symbols, and is often times the type of magic that Healers use
  • Black Magic - Black Magic is Dark magic, and has a tendancy to consume the user. Black Magic is dangerous, and is isn't practiced by many-Black Magic can include Necromancy
  • Necromancy - The art of summoning the dead-zombies, ghosts, ghouls, lich's, wraiths, haunts, etc. Necromancy is shunned by most and is, as of right now, "in court" along with several supporters of said magic, and hater. Necromancy is dangerously close to becoming Illegal with the magic world.
  • Wizard Magic - wizard magic is some of the most powerful magic in the world. It involves spoken spells, and a necessary knowledge of how the world works to be used properly. Wizard magic is also some of the hardest magic for beginners-as there are no shortcuts involved.

There's more magic types in BM, but those are the basics. Things like Voodoo, Wartcraft, and more Spiritual magic is covered in BM as well!
